Before you sit down to presentation software, you need to know what your big idea is and how you’ll take people there.
You should be able to sum up your talk in one sentence, the answer to “What’s your message?” Otherwise, you have skipped a step – the most important step.
Because if you don’t know what your presentation is meant to teach them, then how will they remember it? This is how you become an impactful speaker.
And if you want to take it one more level up, turn your message into a catchy foundational phrase. Now, we’re talking! More accurately, now, they’re talking (and that’s what you are really going for).
P.S. If you need help to clarify your message and come up with a foundational phrase, that’s what I do best.
